Brand Identity, Web Design

Formerly known as 'The Soak' (you can read up on that transition here) Myatt & Co offers an exciting and valuable CPD resource for teachers and leaders. It's a constantly evolving platform of discussion-led films, curated by educational advisor Mary Myatt. It was my job to come up with the brand's visual identity, ensuring it stood out in the marketplace and asserted its value from the get-go. Having worked with Mary on her personal branding, I knew that this project needed to uphold her reputation within the sector, and reflect her creative approach to problem solving.

It was important to give emphasis to the '&' part of the logo to reflect the value of the collaborators and contributers on the platform. I created a bespoke ampersand that incorporates a speech bubble shape into its form - representing discussion and exchange of thought.

To maximise impact, a striking monochrome colour palette was the way forward for the visuals, with added energy and pizazz through illustrative elements. Collaboration is a strong theme throughout Myatt & Co, and I was able to reference that by using intertwining shapes and pattern.
